meet coach james

James Dussich has been passionate about the game of Lacrosse for over 30 years. Having been both a Division One college Lacrosse player and a youth coach for years, the sport has impacted his life in many ways.

Born and raised in Manhasset, New York - a town on Long Island where “Lacrosse wasn’t just a sport - it was a way of life,” he began playing at age seven. Like many young athletes, he wasn’t sure it was the right fit at first. But as his skills developed, so did James’s love and respect for the game. He continued to hone his craft, and played throughout high school where he received MVP of the Nassau County Lacrosse Championships. He attended Hobart College where he played Midfield position for four more years, making not only lifelong friends but gaining invaluable life lessons on commitment, dedication and hard work.

After marrying his childhood crush, they were raising their two daughters and son in that same small town until they decided to “go on an adventure” and move to Franklin, TN. Having coached his daughters since the age of five, he wanted to continue coaching and saw an opportunity to bring the game of Lacrosse to younger players in the South. As a USA Certified Lacrosse Coach, James hopes to pass on his passion to others and instill in them the same morals and lessons that so influenced his life.
